… is preventing your password from being kept by the clipboard
When using a password manager or generator, one common practice is to copy/paste the password to the login input.
However, if one-time passcode or 2nd-factor authentication is enabled, you would need to input the passcode right after.
The passcode will overwrite anything in your clipboard once copied from Email, SMS, or OTP generator.
Even if the hacker steals the passcode from your clipboard, it won’t be a security threat. Given the passcode expires shortly or is one-time use only.
If your 2nd-factor is done by clicking on the link, on another device, or if you have clipboard history enabled this won’t apply.
